Goodbye 02:53
I'm standing in the shower, With water and tears in my eyes, You take away my powers, I guess you're my Kryptonite. Goodbye...Goodbye... You kept me from your presence, And you left me with my doubts, You're the closest i'll get to Heaven, But I must do without. Goodbye...Goodbye... Goodbye...Goodbye... And I'll miss you love, More than any other. And I'll miss you love, More than any other. Can you hear me now? Am I famous enough, to get your attention? Can you hear me now? Am I famous enough, to get your attention? Ohh- Well I guess it's still too soon to say, But if it never mattered anyway, Than I guess this is Goodbye...

Can we capture lightning in a bottle? And pour it over the world to see, in a blazing hell fire, of acoustic calamity. And the dark will be revealed, as my strings crack and squeal, across six billion wide, a fragrant melody. Cause I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe I believe, (lets go!) I believe, (lets go!) I believe, (lets go!) I believe. If you want it bad enough, step into the rain. And if you must risk it all, do not be afraid. Well can we capture thunder in a can? And try to make it understand, to roll with all it's got, so they'll know who I am. Cause I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe, (lets go!) I believe, (lets go!) I believe, (lets go!) I believe. If you want it bad enough, step into the rain. And if you must risk it all, do not be afraid. And I know, it's a long road, but I'll walk it anyway. There's no need for an umbrella here, cause I welcome on, I welcome on, the rain. Cause I believe, I believe, I believe, I believe I believe, (lets go!) I believe, (lets go!) I believe, (lets go!) I believe. If you want it bad enough, step into the rain. And if you must risk it all, do not be afraid.

Sitting in this empty room, You're sleeping with him I'm thinking of you. An it's taking the best out of me, As I sit on the floor And have another drink... Do you regret me? Cause I don't regret you one bit. How could I regret you? When I don't want to forget. And it broke my heart to see, You walk away, and take your leave. Cause nice guys finish last, But when he breaks your heart I hope you think of me... Do you regret me? Cause I don't regret you one bit. How could I regret you? When I don't want to forget.

The other night I swear I saw a ghost, standing in the corner of my room, and I asked her where she'd been and she replied, the world's a bigger place than you know. So don't regret what you've said, and raise your heavy head. Do your best to move on, stay strong, stay strong. And somehow I always knew, that she's been there, guiding me through, she leads by example, and she taught me to believe, like a force at my back she's always moving me. So don't regret what you've said, and raise your heavy head. Do your best to move on, stay strong, stay strong. Like a pillar she stands, like a pillar I'll stand,strong- Like a pillar she stands, like a pillar I'll stand,strong- Like a pillar you stand, like a pillar I'll stand, strong- Like a pillar she stands, like a pillar I'll stand, strong- Now I don't regret what I've said, and I've raised my heavy head, and I found the strength to move on, cause she's strong, (cause she's strong) so I'm strong, (so I'm strong) cause she's strong, (cause she's strong) so I'm strong, (so I'm strong) Cause you're strong, so I'm strong.

I don't know why I thought I'd stand a chance at all, Cause you're so cool and calm, And that's not me, you know me. So show me how to walk, Further from my heart, Like I never fell in love, Cause that's not me, you know me. Carry you up the stairs, Said you can't find your way. I'll sing you what you want to hear... Forgotten your way back home, Lets go to my place, Just as long as you get me out of here... I don't know why it is, It always ends like this, I'll sit alone again and tell my self, That it's not me, it can't be. So I should think again, Before diving in, But the benefits of friends, Just gets me, and it's sickening. Carry you up the stairs, Said you can't find your way. I'll sing you what you want to hear... Forgotten your way back home, Lets go to my place, Just as long as you get me out of here. here... I'd tell you to slow down, but I'm having too much fun, Lie to me, lie with me. I'd tell you to slow down, but I'm having too much fun, Lie to me, lie with me. Carry her up the stairs, Said she can't find her way. I'll sing her what she wants to hear... Forgotten her way back home, Lets go to my place, Just as long as she gets me out of here. Gets me out of here... So when you awake, Don't turn around. Just get out of bed, And walk away...

All the girls walk around in their pretty dresses, All made up, I'm no contest for that. Cause I'm the prey and she's the lion, God knows I'd be a fool for tryin' now. Cause I remember standing there on the side of the road, watching you pass me by in the cold, you seemed so happy and warm- Hey girl, don't leave out here, you know I wont survive. but oh, you're so happy just to have me gone, oh, you're so happy just to have me gone. Well hey girl don't leave me out here, you know I'll surely drown. But oh, you're so happy just to have me gone, oh, you're so happy just to have me gone. And I walk by to steal a glance and oh my god, I can't express to you. I'd give anything to impress, I'd rip my heart from my beating chest it's true- But i remember standing there on the side of the road, watching you pass me by in the cold, you seemed so happy and warm- Hey girl, don't leave out here, you know I wont survive. But oh, you're so happy just to have me gone, oh, you're so happy just to have me gone. Hey girl don't leave me out here, you know I'll surely drown. But oh, you're so happy just to have me gone, oh, you're so happy just to have me gone. And I remember standing there on the side of the road, watching you pass me by in the cold, Seeing you drive, away- and I remember what you said when you turned around. 'Have a nice life, I'm leavin town' And that's when, I said- I said... All the girls walk around in their pretty dresses, all made up I'm no contest for that...

It's two o'clock in the morning again. Headlights passing by, they're dizzying. And you say I'll pay for my sins, But this is the only way I know to live. And here we go again- Slow down cause I'm sitting in the backseat, Your best friends say they don't like me. But I don't care, Cause I'll see them in hell. Slow down cause I'm sitting in the backseat, Your best friends say they don't like me. But I don't care, Cause I'll see them in hell. And you think that you've lost a friend. But what you'll never know is it never ends. Cause I'm walking away again, But I love you way to much to just pretend.

I never thought I, could relate to somebody the way, That I do you, Ever since that day, I sat down, you said hey, After I spotted you across the room, Well I'm sorry if I don't make sense, you just have that effect on me, Just give me a moments to catch my breath, So I can try on more time to speak. I can't explain, you do something, to me. You make it hard to breathe, you take my breath, away And though I know we're just getting started, it's impossible to say, I'm hoping that I will know you forever, And that this feeling never goes away, When you tell a joke and you laugh out loud, Well I just can't help but smile, And the way you are and you carry yourself, Makes me want to sit and talk a while. (And I hope you know, I hope, you know) Well we're getting wasted, you make me laugh all day And you kill me well girl you take my breath away Oh I hope you know, that you sweep me off my feet And when I look up and you're smiling, yea, Well my heart, it skips a beat ...for you-

Looking back at all the time we've spent I wouldn't trade it for the world, You're my best friend. And even when the times you've made me mad You knew I've always got your back, Until the end. All of the times, that we ran wild and free, And all the nights, you fell asleep next to me ohh, Well they don't call it friends for nothing, you taught me how to stand for something, Stand with me... They don't call it friends for nothing, you taught me how to stand for something, Stand with me... Remember when we were just two kids And my mother wasn't quite convinced, that you were cool. The exception to the rule But just look at you now You're making me so damn proud, with how you are, And everything you do. And All of the times, that we ran wild and free, All the nights, you fell asleep next to me ohh, Well they don't call it friends for nothing, you taught me how to stand for something, Stand with me... They don't call it friends for nothing, you taught me how to stand for something, Stand with me...

Well I have a small confession, but I know it's just a lesson I'll have, to see, And I'm hoping and I'm trying, cause I know that you're relying on me, to be, The one and only person, that save you from this life, you live, And I'm sorry that I'm sorry, but this is all I have, to give... Hurry up hurry up and make a move, Cause they're waiting, Hurry up hurry up and see this through, Just don't let me down, And it's the same old story, We know so well, It's the same old story, So well, I swear, I'll make it, I, will not let you down, God knows, we deserve it, At any cost, against all odds, I will. And I've been stayin' up for days, trying to find the ways, I can, succeed, But no matter what they say, I gotta do it anyway, I must believe, And even though I'm tired, and I feel like I'm dying I cant, give up, I'mma get up on the stage, I'mma sing it anyway till I, cant breathe, And I will make it through the darkest of night, And I'll carry you right on my back, (I swore, I'd never...Back...Down...)

I can't see straight, I guess that means, That I've had one too many. And I can't walk for shit. I guess that means, that you don't miss me. When the sun goes down, in the city, I'm surrounded all around, but I've never been so lonely. So I stumble back, to my apartment. And I listen to, the song you recorded. And I'll sit on the floor, And pretend you're at my door. Even though you left me, brokenhearted.

They see him swing from rooftops, as he jumps from ledge to ledge, And wonder just what makes this man, and what goes through his head, So they'll all sit and wonder, when they will be saved, By this nameless faceless man who only lives to keep thier faith. So don't, believe- Don't hate me- ...Cause The Hero will drown, the Hero will drown, Drown in here tonight, The Hero will drown, the Hero will drown, Drown- They ready the drowning pool for him, as they all tie him down, And one by one they anchor him, with chains unto the groud, The waters' getting higher now, and he can hardly stand, The fluid fills his lungs until he can not feel his hands. So don't, believe- ( Just abandon all hope, in me- ) Don't hate me- ...Cause ( Just abandon all hope- ) I will only let you down- Let you down, let you down- There's just no one out there, for me...
13.
Let me say, that I've let you down again, and I'm sorry. Let me say, that i never meant, to hurt you now... But when push comes to shove, and you know that I'm doing, All that I can just to see this through and, I'm hoping you'll understand where I'm coming from. When you walk away and I'm trying to say 'Please, Just don't go, I'm down on my knees'. I'll do anything to make you stay- Don't go just yet, There's still a chance... Don't walk away, I need you to stay now.
14.
I haven't slept in three whole weeks, And life's catching up to me yea, This time around And I think that I'm over due for, A pretty girl like you but, You're off the ground. Ohh what to do? What should I do? Well maybe I could sit on the porch and drink a beer, Or two or three... or six! Or maybe I could go to sleep for hours or days, Or weeks or years but, No matter what I do, I'll still be, livin' through, The best of times, the worst of times, And I guess it makes more sense if I- Just let it, go- I'll just let it, go- I've had friends walk out on me, I can't trust most family. Where could I turn? But my guitar she's always there, And music's everywhere, that's, A lesson learned. Ohh what to do? what could I do? Well I could play a different show every night, Just for crowds of three, Or I could risk it all on tour and play her when I feel hungry, But it'll always be me and her, fighting for this dream, Cause she makes me sing... So I'll let it, go I'll just let it, go Roll it off, My shoulders now. I'll Just let it go.
